Diabetes management

EAST LANSING — The MSU Extension is launching a six-week Diabetes Personal Action Toward Health (PATH) program from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday via Zoom.

DNR seeks comments

LANSING — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is seeking comments on the 2023 Managed Public Land Strategy.

The DNR provides details on the state land review process and accepts feedback on whether to keep, exchange or sell DNR-managed public land in 11 counties, including Benzie and Manistee.

BENZONIA — Benzie Area Historical Society is presenting “1906: A Summer to Remember; Donated Historical Photos Bring a Family to Life” at 4 p.m. Thursday at Mills Community House and on Zoom.

Historian Steven Veatch and archivist Cheri Dundon are giving this Benzonia Academy Lecture. A $5 donation is recommended.

CHARLEVOIX — The Moms and Tots fundraiser “Claiming Life!” will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Charlevoix High School.

Library concert

TRAVERSE CITY — Vocalist and guitarist Dave Baumann will play music at 7 p.m. Thursday at Peninsula Community Library. The concert will be outdoors, if no rain.

TRAVERSE CITY — The Mission Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Traverse City seeks local organizations to submit grant proposals.

Art display

LUDINGTON — Ludington Area Center for the Arts is displaying the outdoor installation “Phone Tag” by artist Claire Ashely until Nov. 15 at the corner of Harrison and Loomis streets.

This is part of the 2023 “Terrain Biennial” project.
