New restaurant and retail operations are coming in Foley and Gulf Shores

Watch for three new restaurant and retail operations coming soon in southern Baldwin County:

  • Baumhower’s Victory Grill is to open next month in the Tanger Outlets off Alabama 59 in Foley.
  • Parlor Doughnuts is set to open at 600 Gulf Shores Parkway in Gulf Shores early next year.
  • A 10,500-square-foot Family Dollar store is set to be built at 3863 Alabama 59 in Gulf Shores.

There were also several real estate transaction of note in recent days in Mobile and Baldwin counties:

  • 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile Inc. paid $400,000 for a 5,400-square-foot building at 1060 Springhill Ave., at Pine Street, in Mobile, according to Mike Reid of Merrill P. Thomas Co., who represented the buyers. Vallas Realty worked for the seller, Mobile Area Water & Sewer System. The non-profit organization is a group of leaders including educators, judges, doctors, lawyers, religious leaders and businessmen whose focus is educating and empowering youth and their families while positively impacting the community. Their new building has offices, meeting rooms and a conference room.
  • Local investors paid $690,000 for the 15,000-square-foot building at 605 Texas Place in Mobile and plan to renovate it, according to Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the seller.
  • Relevant Industrial has leased a 6,000-square-foot warehouse at 7951 American Way in Daphne, according to Jay O’Brien of Stirling, who handled the transaction.
  • Live Oak Village owners plan to revise their master plan to add 93 townhomes, 32 apartment units and 52 on-site climate-controlled storage units, according to the Foley Planning Commission. Live Oak Village at 300 Village Square Blvd., is an active adult 55-plus community which also has an associated assisted living facility.
