What is Mental Wellness?

Mental wellness is the ability to recognize, understand and meet emotional and psychological needs. In order to do this, we must first have some self-awareness and try to understand where others are coming from. 

In a time where levels of stress and anxiety are higher, it’s important for employers to take note and provide support for their employees. Conventional means, like EAPs, may have worked well in the past, but it’s time to adjust to our ever-changing environment. In order to retain their employees while improving their focus and productivity, employers can take an active role in supporting their mental health and wellness.

Peace of Wellness

Peace of Wellness offers two forms of mental health coaching: custom company workshops and 1:1 session with individuals (in-person or via Zoom). Workshops review interpersonal skills and how they relate to customer care, including boundary setting and healthy communication.

Individual Sessions

  • Have you ever noticed that you and a friend or family member can have two completely different perspectives on the very same event? 
  • Have you ever known someone that remains positive and upbeat even when the world seems to be falling apart around them? 
  • Do you know someone (or are you that someone) that has every reason to be happy but just cannot seem to feel content?

These situations prove that we are not just a product of circumstance but that our minds hold an incredible amount of power in how we perceive our happiness, success, and more. Our very own minds can provide the key to freedom or the lock to a prison cell. The beautiful thing is that we do not have to stay constrained or restrained in that mental prison cell forever. There is freedom and relief in learning how our own individual minds work and how our patterns of thought affect everything we think, believe, say, and do. Understanding these critical points, Peace of Wellness provides clients with skills and tools to better understand how they filter and interpret information from the environment and relationships around them. This not only results in more self-awareness in the client but also improves one’s ability to manage his/her own thoughts and feelings while navigating the continuous rollercoaster of life. Peace of Wellness works with people to identify what thoughts, feelings, habits, and routines serve them and which do not, all the while creating new, healthier patterns of thought and healthy habits. Peace of Wellness and the client together will tackle negative self-talk, anxiety, lack of motivation, and more to create that sense of peace we are all seeking.
