Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:

  1. A statewide library program is offering free admission to the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden. The Read for Adventure program offers a zoo voucher for up to four people to anyone who checks out and returns “Juniper’s Butterfly Garden – A Small Start for a Better World” at their local library. The program will run through Friday, Mar. 31, 2024, and vouchers will be redeemable through Jun. 30, 2024. (Visit OKC)
  2. One woman is dead following a duplex fire in southwest Oklahoma City. Crews responded to the fire near Southwest 29th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, where they found a woman inside who appeared to be asleep. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she reportedly died from her injuries. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
  3. The City of Oklahoma City is offering an opportunity for residents with unpaid tickets to clear their citations at a reduced cost. Anyone with a Class A offense citation dated before Jun. 3, 2021, is eligible to participate in the program, which reduces the penalty to the cost of a ticket paid on time. The penalty reduction program will remain open until December. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
