Welcome back, Dallas. I’m here in your inbox per usual to get you up to speed on everything you need to know about what’s going on in town.

But first, today’s weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. The City of Dallas plans on spending around $4.1 million on razing, cleaning, and fencing homeless encampments. They would like to decommission homeless encampments, build fences that keep homeless individuals out of areas such as overpasses, and clean the encampment areas. This isn’t the first round of efforts from the city to address homelessness, though the budget remains to be approved by the City Council next month. (GazetteXtra)
  2. A photographer from Dallas, Gray Malin, has a new book, “Gray Malin: Coastal,” that showcases aerial photography of the world’s most famous beaches. He discovered this type of photography by accident when a storm changed his plans to take photos from a hotel balcony. Most of his work is spontaneous, including the people in the photos, the weather, and what is going on in the background. (Subscription: The Dallas Morning News)
  3. The woman who claimed a fellow passenger was “not real” and demanded to leave the plane was identified as a resident of Dallas. Tiffany Gomas, 38, was given a criminal trespass notice after arguing with a family onboard and then claiming the plane was unsafe and shouldn’t take off. Gomas continued to attempt getting back through TSA despite being told she couldn’t board, but she wound up leaving the airport after they created the written notice. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
