LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — River Ridge Mall announced the renowned clothing retailer ‘Torrid’ is set to open its doors in 2024.
Torrid provides fit, high-quality direct-to-consumer apparel across North America. These products focus on tops, bottoms, denim, dresses, intimates, activewear, footwear and accessories. Most products offered are made for women who wear sizes 10 to 30.
Previously, the nearest Torrid location to Lynchburg was in Roanoke.
“We are thrilled to welcome TORRID to River Ridge as part of our family of retailers,” said Melissa Faria, general manager at River Ridge. “TORRID’s focus on fit, style and quality align with our vision of providing an array of top-tier shopping options to our guests. We eagerly anticipate their opening.”
The store will open in West End District, along with other notable retailers Duck Donuts, Papa Gallo Cocina Mexicana, The Golden Henry, and Playa Bowls. The West End district is also home to the new ice-skating rink, The Ice at River Ridge.
“We are proud that our West End district continues to grow, with first-to-market retailers like TORRID as well as opportunities for the community to gather,” Faria said.
