Brian Hamlet Obituary – The Patriot Ledger

Brian F. Hamlet, of Plympton, passed away on July 11, 2023 at the age of 80. He was the son of the late Elna (Carlson) and Frank Ellsworth Hamlet.

Brian was born on May 19, 1943 in Boston. He grew up in Abington and graduated from Abington High School where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth (Betsy). He was the loving husband of 53 years to the late Elizabeth A. Hamlet. They had two children, B. Derek Hamlet of Plympton and Heather E. Hamlet of Florida.

After graduating high school, Brian served in the United States Army as a Hawk Missile Launcher in the Vietnam War. Brian later went on to obtain an associates degree from Newbury College. He had a lengthy career in the computer industry as a field service engineer. At the time of passing, Brian was employed at FedEx in Raynham where he was cherished by all.

Brian was an intelligent man who was a jack of all trades and mechanically inclined. He enjoyed tinkering and was a true Mr. Fix-It. Brian loved to travel with his wife and going to Powder Point Beach with his family, who he adored.

Brother of the late Alan Sheehan, Bruce Hamlet and his wife Patricia, Steven Hamlet, the late Wayne Hamlet, and Laure Blanchard. He was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 30th from 3:00PM-6:00PM at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hanson – 2 Maquan St. A funeral home service will be held the following day Monday, July 31st at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
