He adds, “While talent and merit are crucial in the entertainment industry, having a network of contacts can certainly provide an edge when it comes to securing opportunities. It’s often a blend of skill, luck, and connections that pave the way for success in this competitive field. While it might not always seem fair, leveraging contacts can undoubtedly enhance one’s chances of getting noticed and landing roles.”

, he says, “Nepotism does exist in the entertainment industry, including Bollywood. It’s not uncommon for individuals with family connections or backgrounds in the industry to have advantages in securing opportunities. While talent and hard work are vital, sometimes those with family ties in the industry have easier access to opportunities or resources. This trend isn’t unique to Bollywood but can be seen in various entertainment sectors worldwide. However, there are also instances where newcomers without connections have made a significant mark based purely on their talent and perseverance.”
He adds, “Facing missed opportunities or not getting the right chance can indeed be frustrating for actors. It’s essential to focus on what’s within your control: honing your craft, staying persistent, and continuing to network and seek new opportunities. Building resilience is crucial in this industry. Seeking feedback, staying positive, and continuing to grow as an actor can help navigate the disappointments and prepare for future opportunities that may arise. Additionally, having a strong support system and engaging in activities that bring joy outside of acting can also help manage the frustration.”
However, he says that nothing is certain here. “This is the dynamic nature of the entertainment industry. It’s a realm where success can be unpredictable, and the landscape is ever-changing. Trends, audience preferences, and the industry’s dynamics constantly shift, making it challenging to predict who will rise to fame or fall out of the spotlight. That uncertainty is inherent in an industry driven by creativity, audience tastes, and numerous external factors. It’s this unpredictability that often makes the journey both thrilling and challenging for those involved,” he adds.
