Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton’s real estate development company, Three Leaf Partners, is proposing to build a $90.7 million residential development in Hartland.
“Hartland Quarry,” proposed for 700 Capitol Drive, would consist of 267 total units ― 240 multi-family apartments and 27 townhomes, according to the proposal from Three Leaf Partners.
The townhomes would be a mix of two-bedroom and three-bedroom units.
The apartments would have one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units.
The development could be home to between 400 and 500 people.
The site is about 45 acres and was once used as a quarry, the project’s namesake. It would offer other amenities such as a pool and a fitness area.
“This (project) specifically is about trying to continue to put more people into Hartland, raise the tax bases, continue to help employment, utilize and highlight everything that is great about this community,” Connaughton said at the Hartland Architectural Board and Planning Commission meeting June 19.
Even if all approvals are given, it will still be months before the project could get underway. Hartland Village Manager Ryan Bailey said that if “everything went well,” final approval would likely not be granted until September or October.
The proposal still has to be presented to the planning commission in July and then would later move on to the village board.
“I like the idea of something being developed in an area that’s being completely underutilized … these are the kind of developments that not only lead Hartland to being as beautiful as it is, but the foresight to actually utilize property, and that’s more important than ever now,” Jeffrey Pfannerstill, Hartland Plan Commission/Architectural Board commissioner, said at the June 19 meeting.
Three Leaf Partners has developed several other residential and mixed-use properties within the greater Milwaukee metro area.
